In the project of the contemporary
city, to design defined shapes is not a self sufficient action to obtain a significant
result. It’s necessary to rethink the design action within a developing
process, adopting incompleteness and temporality as values. Re-editing what
the existing reality gives at our disposal, rather than claiming a neutral territory
on which we could give shape to pre-defined hypothesis. The dissolution of precise
boundaries between intervention and context, the reclaim and the re-interpretation
of what exists, the attention to a temporal dimension that, from time to time,
circumscribes or dilates itself, mean also to leave the operative hypothesis
of landscape preservation, towards an approach that reckons in a more complex
way the relationship between History and the past, from one side, and the needs
of territorial preservation, from the other.
Fattore K rests on 3 strategies that flank and overlap: Duplication
+ Densification + A “new alphabet”
for the territory

contemporanea, la definizione di forme compiute non è più un’azione
di per sé sufficiente ad ottenere un risultato significativo. E’
necessario ripensare il progetto all’interno di un processo e assumere
l’incompiutezza e la transitorietà come valore rielaborando quanto
la realtà esistente mette a disposizione piuttosto che pretendere un
territorio neutro su cui dare forma a ipotesi precostituite. La dissoluzione
dei limiti precisi tra intervento e contesto, il recupero e la reinterpretazione
dell’esistente, l’attenzione per una dimensione temporale di volta
in volta circoscritta o dilatata, significano anche abbandonare l’ipotesi
operativa della conservazione del paesaggio, in favore di un atteggiamento che
consideri il rapporto con la storia ed il passato da una parte, e le necessità
della salvaguardia del territorio dall’altra, in maniera più complessa.
Il progetto Fattore K si basa su 3 strategie di intervento che si affiancano
e si sovrappongono: Duplicazione + Densificazione
+ Un “nuovo alfabeto” per il territorio
